INNOCENCE OF A CHILD

Once there was a man,
Standing in the middle of the road...
Ask him why - he'll say ''Coz i can''...
No one ponders over his Stand...

He sees a begger spreading his palms...
Asking from every passing car his demands...
Like- food, water or something to becalm....
Still, no one ponders over his stand...

A office man seated in a car,
With time not at par,
Stops to wait for the green light,
In front of the beggars might.

The beggar walks to his side,
Knocks on his window without any pride.
The man rolls his window down,
Not to give, but to frown.

Then there came passerby- a child,
Not a care in the city, yet filled with purity....
heart filled with stories of kindness
Stood to ponder over his stand.

He went up to the beggar,
Drench in alcohol he smelled,
The child gave him money
The man standing said - innocence of a child.

HAPPY TEACHERS DAY

This poem is dedicated to a teacher of mine.

On a bright sunny day,
At our books we gazed.
By Coleridge's Frost's
We were entirely hazed.
For Ma'am we had praise
As she solved the maze!
And Ma'am inspired us,
For the rest of our days!

TEMPLE - WEEDJA

In a old temple I sat to plead;
Remorse for disgraceful deed.
No one to share and talk to but he,
In a corner, as usual he sat groggy.
The grass's effect just hit me.
Delusional in front of me I could see.
A man with 7 umbrellas over his head
With a smouldering leaf in his hand
Smouldered the joyous sage full weed.
He came and sat just beside me,
Extended his hand and gave me,
The censer. White fog around,
From it came and surround us...!

FYI- I don't do drugs!
