Beyond Shackles

Distressed, on the cold bed he did lie,
Pill upon pill, relentlessly he did try.
A fair lady behind him appeared,
Red blood over her clothes smeared.

The Ladies blue eyes, a burning,
Sensation on his bent back cast.
He turned around, to be surprised,
By his beautiful lover from the past.

With all his mustered strength
He got up from the bed to prevent
Her from leaving him Alone again
Letting his body drop on the bed.

His brittle heart many times broken,
Loves yet Loveless, from life woken.
Lust for his ex-lover from the past,
Follows her to eternal heaven vast.
